Have I become a Media Zombie

Ok.. So I sit here at my desk and can't help but feel a bit pessimistic about Saturdays Game. The media and all its speculating has finally made its presence felt in my mind. Texas did play for a national title a mere 2 years ago. Texas is coming of the worst season in over a decade and still manages to recruit and maintain talent like no other school in the Big 12.

So why am I sitting here thinking that Saturday is going to be an ugly game. The team is loaded with Talent... Young Talent. The QB starter is in his first 3rd game as a starter. The Co Starter is a Freshmen. The history of this game has shown that a Freshman QB can win the game and has been done so by 4 different Freshmen QB's in the recent past.

I guess my concern is with the youth on this team. That has to be it. Oklahoma has senior leadership and years worth experience with their offense and defensive schemes. Texas which has show great growth through 4 games but this is the first seasons for our offensive and defensive schemes. I guess I am concerned over OU's fast paced offense and weather or not our Young DB's and LB's will rise to the challenge and perform.

Well... just over 3 days till kick off. I guess time will tell and all I can hope for is for our young athletes to perform and play mistake free football. The one thing that I still know and will never forget is that "OU SUCKS!!!!!" HOOK EM!!!!!!! I will stand by this team win or lose but am counting on a Victory.

I understand your concerns but this is also why we play the game

OU is a tough, well coached, team with veterans on the roster but they are not invincible. There is no doubt that our young team is going to have their hands full with the sooners but our guys are well conditioned and motivated. Our coaches are smart and creative. They have been planning for this game for months..rest assured that OU is going to get our best shot.

Win or lose, this game is going to improve our team and tell us just how far we've come. Try to have fun and enjoy it... we're in a rebuilding year, no one expected us to be where we are right now, and we're the underdogs with nothing to lose!
