Saw an ad for the AT&T Cotton Bowl game today, and found myself already looking for a K-State win, if for no other reason than to give the S-E-C a little come-uppance from the BIG-XII!!!

Since the formation of the Big 12 in 1996 to the exodus of aggy and Mizzou this year, TCU and WVU have combined for 14 top 25 finishes and an overall winning record in 26 bowl game appearances.

Meanwhile during this same time frame aggy and Mizzou combined for 8 top 25 finishes and a losing record in 17 bowl games.

From a football competition standpoint, it's pretty hard not to say that the addition of these two newcomers is an upgrade for the Big 12. Addition by subtraction indeed

TCU has two BCS bowls; Fiesta Bowl and a Rose Bowl win vs Wisconsin. WVa has been to 2 BCS bowls. Since 1996, TCU has been the WAC champ 2 times, the CUSA champ 1, and Mountain West champ 4 times. WVa has been the Big East champ 7 times.

Since 1996, Aggy has an appearance in the Sugar Bowl (1999) and lost to Ohio St. And Missouri has nothing! The number of Conference championships for both Mizzou and Aggy in the B12 = 1 by aggy in 1998.

Looks Like we are getting the better deal and the SEC is getting 2 door mat punching bags.

Seems like we are down to only members that want to be here. Things have stabilized to the point that I don't see the Big 12 as being in jeoprady of folding. I'm happy that it has been saved.

I have to admit that much of the disdain I had for other Big 12 members has largely subsided, with the exception of those who bailed out.
