Hats off to Mason today

Felt like he was about the only one that played his *** off for all his time and wasn't intimidated. Guy was nails all tourney long and it would have been a 20 pt game at half w/out him... which is SOOOO much better than 11.

Yeah he had a hell of a game. It's hard to believe that halfway through the season he was on the verge of getting benched. He really does work his butt off out there.

I wish the team had followed his lead early in the game. He was absolutely kicking butt in those first 5 minutes.

As for another starter...one much taller...I will only say that person was terrible out there today.

Yet another Barnes player that seems to be improving steadily. His play throughout the playoffs was huge on both ends of the court. On top of his timely points and great D, I was most impressed with his ability to get to the glass.

He was the only player taking the ball to the basket early on, it's a shame he didn't get the fouls called that occured.

Note: We did not lose the game bc of the officials, but Mason got hammered a few times that really should have been called

Mason was flat out ALLSOME today. He was taking it to the Tigers all game long. Every time up the court he was probing, in the halfcourt he was probing and getting to the rim, and he was a beast on the glass.

He's one guy I know we'll have two more years of and I am so grateful I'll have the opportunity to see him for that long.

Thanks for starting this thread. Justin really deserves it.

Mason played his heart out & left everything on the court. He seemed to be the only guy taking it to Memphis early on. Especially when the offense was so out of sync. I think that's why Barnes had him handling the ball more.
