The media, today, seems to be quite active today...

30 years ago, the world grew colder. I was watching Monday Night Football - till the words punched my 20-something gut.

I wasn't a huge Beatles fan or even that much of a JL fan at the time, but I remember very clearly exactly where I was and what I was doing when my best friend's sister walked into the room and told us he had been shot. He was 40, which seemed old to me at the time. I realize now how very young it is.

I went down to the Zilker Park Christmas tree. There was an impromptu memorial there. Hundreds of people showed up, maybe a thousand or more, wandered around, and sang Give Peace a Chance.
It was moving and sad. We all lit candles. RIP.
