Good link, Third Coast. That's the best I've seen Prince play in a long time. He played very "old school" IMO, which is the style I used to be able to play (blues-rock). He just played high up on the neck of his Telecaster, in what sounded to me to be straight blues scale licks with nice bends and vibrato. Many young players today don't take the time to develop their left hand skills in perfecting bending and vibrato because they are focused on playing fast. My 13 yo son can already play things by artists that i could have never played, but I do get on him about these exact skills. Slash is another artist who has great left hand skills, maybe the best I've seen.
