Happy 56th Birthday King George

We should all be ashamed. It's 10:14 p.m. and no posts of King George's birthday. Post your favorite George Strait song/memory/etc.

All I have to say is that I grew up on George. My mom is a displaced Texan living in mobilehoma, and says she can't listen to George without getting teary-eyed and homesick.

It's hard for me to try and pick a favorite song. His music is just a part of my being.

I saw George in 1983 or 84 at Billy Bobs. We sat at the same table as his wife, daughter and son. Bubba was probably 2 or 3 at the time, his daughter was about 10 I guess.

Who new he was going to turn out to be as huge as he was. I remember telling my dad I had been to see George and he didn't believe that I would go see some country guy.
