No spoilers here. But I did take a carload of 13 year old boys to see it this afternoon. They all gave it two thumbs up.

Enjoyable, yes, but not as good as Iron Man, IMHO. I'd say the plot was a bit leaner than Iron Man, and the PG-13 language was a bit more than expected, but for matinee prices, it was worth it in the guys opinion.

What never ceases to amaze me, at a movie theater though, is that I paid more for drinks and popcorn for the kids (6 drinks and 2 popcorns) than I did for the movie tickets. Ah well, I am a cool mom today and Lostboy2 is having a good b-day party!
 
i can see how youngsters would like it.
i don't care for will smith, so it's not for me.
 
It certainly doesn't sound like a kids movie. Due to the violence and constant profanity, some reviews question how it managed a PG-13 rating.

I personally like Will Smith and it sounds like he is the only thing that makes this move watchable. I think I'll wait for the DVD to come out to see this one.
 
The violence wasn't what bothered me - it was really kind of comic bookish feeling. Throwing cars around, causing a train wreck. It wasn't bloody violence, but he caused a lot of wreckage and didn't care that it made a bigger mess than he solved. That doesn't send a great message to kids.

The profanity was a bit much for kids, even 13 year olds (not that they have not heard it), the numerous referennces to homos in one scene and one scene in the jail where he takes "put it where the sun don't shine" literally.

The boys had a good time, but I would have been just as happy to wait till it came on DVD.
 
I like Will Smith as an actor, but basically they've just given Superman's character a new name, so I can't imagine the movie will be all that interesting.
 
Saw it tonight...We should've seen Mongol instead.

HanCOCK starts off ok...interesting and kinda funny.

Then takes a turn for the worse. Last half of the movie is god awful. And to tell you the truth...there is really no plot to this movie either...just bad movie making.

DEFINITE wait until video.
 
i was disappointed by this movie too. not that i was expecting much. Will Smith has never really impressed me with his movies. I Am Legend(the ending sucked) and Hitch were good though. that's about it. the other guy said it perfectly, no plot, and the second half of the movie pretty much sucks.

I give it an average rating also...the twist in the middle sort of sucked...one thing I did notice was that the movie was really short...The movie I saw started at 2:50 and when I walked out of the place it was 4:23...pretty short to me...
 
Saw it yesterday. I'm with the posters saying the first half was pretty good and the second half was miserable. I fell asleep toward the end.
