Welcome Mr. Hamilton!!!!!!!

A three man class would mean they are looking at James leaving early, Atchley and Abrams leaving due to expiration of their four years eligibility, and Brown becoming eligible.

However, I have heard there is some interest in a couple of other players for 2009--Jamil Wilson, a 6'7" combo forward and Deniz Kilicli, a 6'9" Turkish PF. Kilicli is supposed to be a heavy lean to WV.

Of course, with Hamilton coming to Austin, Texas may decide that it must focus on picking up an additional guard if Brown can't make it to the 40 Acres.

bierce, Kenny Boynton remains the most intriguing possibility, and it's very realistic. I'm not saying the chances are as good as they were with Bradley and Hamilton, but it looks good for getting him on campus for an official visit at the end of October, and Boynton loves the idea of playing with Bradley and Hamilton, so we'll see.

GREAT pick up for The good guys, this is a monster team in the making for Texas.
Jamil Wilson is all Big Ten either Wisconson or Mich. State. The guy from Turkey Kilicli is headed to WV for sure if he qualifies.
I have my doubts if Brown makes it to Texas at all, if an Eli Johnson is available or if Boyton likes us, I would hope that they pull the trigger and offer them. I hope Texas is looking at Brandon Knight for 2010, the kid is better then Boyton ,well maybe the skill set is about even but Knight reminds me of Gary Payton the way he plays and better on offense.
Next year we would still have Balbay,Mason Verez,Bradley and Smith.
Jeremy Tyler is a mountain of a man/child, he is listed at 6'9" and 250 but he is taller then that, closer to 7' and gets up and down the floor, he is stronger then most 17 yr old kids and still growing. He played Monroe and Favors to a stand still last year as a young 17 at that time. He is the real deal.
Where is the Dance finals being held at for 09 ?

Exciting time to be a horns fan, hamilton and bradley may be one and done but the year after we already have Thompson whos a top 5 talent and are recruiting the other 3 top remaining players.

When Kevin Durant left for the NBA, most of us fans hoped for an ascension of hoops recruiting, into the level of the very top programs...or at least movement towards that level.

We had to wait through last year's class, which was much more like our recruiting pre-Durant than what we're hoping post-Durant recruiting will be like. That's not intended to disrespect the guys we did get, but we all figured out that this coming class would be where our hopes could materialize.

Even so, hoping and expecting are different things. I hoped but, at times, doubted. But with Bradley and now Hamilton committed (not to mention Thompson), I think we've entered into that elite level recruiting that Durant and the Durant-effect promised. Top 5-10 players around the country, with no prior ties to Texas, now committing to come and investing their futures in Rick and the program...that's something that I always hoped for, but wasn't sure if I'd ever see. It's time to contend for national titles, baby!

The top tier programs in the nation are Duke, UNC and Kansas; their name recognition alone attracts recruits. Texas is not there yet, but we're getting there. We are on the next level with the likes of UConn and Arizona and can recruit nationally against almost anyone.
