good road win the the horns! they were sloppy to start, but i'm glad they were able to overcome the early turnovers. they shot 59% in the 2nd half.

Yeah, a tough win for the Horns. They needed this one to get ready for Tenn and Arizona State. Craig Way said something about trouble with the phone lines during the prior game and this one. Maybe that was why gametracker wasn't working.

Way to tough it out, Horns!!

Just took a look at the stats. Wow! GTech had 77 FGAs. They had 24 offensive rebounds and that was with the Horns grabbing 29 defensive boards. They lived off the 3 against UConn. Against the Horns, they depended on taking more shots, 77-54, especially since the 3 wasn’t dropping. Horns made it difficult inside with 9 blocks. GTech forced the Horns into 25 TOs while only committing 19. Horns had trouble finishing at the FT line, missing on a number of 1 & 1 opportunities and ending up 16-24 from the FT line.

Really tough game for the Horns. But they came through with a win. Should be a great experience for the freshmen. They provided a spark but also committed a number of errors they will learn from. Great win with plenty for the coaches to work on.

They got one more game tomorrow against host Florida Atlantic before a week off ending in an away game against Mississippi before Tenn comes to town.

And I feel really good about moving and managing to hook up my system back up without any problems. Still moving complicated by a really bad cold but looking forward to the game tomorrow after completing the move. This week has been really bad.

We are seeing that this is a solid team. Coach G has this group playing well and they are beating the teams that they should beat, which is the mark of a good team.

A win over Tennessee would make a huge statement to future recruits. I think that if Bone and Hill see what GG as done with this team that they will realize how much more she could do if they were to join the program. With those two we would be right in the mix of competing for a championship.
