OK, who else went last night? My kids made me take them and I'm really feeling it right now at work after getting home at 3:30. I'm too old for this ****. I guess I should have known the ending (or lack of one) since seeing that youtube video of the parking lot of the bookstore when the book came out.

The two lostboys and their friends and I went last night. Lostdaughter, and practically all my nieces and nephews in different cities all went as well. Our kids are Potter fans, to say the least. The movie was well done, but I am with the OP - I am too old for this. The good thing is that I teach, so I did not have to work this AM.

I never understood the attraction of going to the very first showing of a movie. I remember when The Phantom Menace came out and people were camping out for days so they could see the first showing. It's not like it's a ballgame -- they're going to show the movie bunches of times!

you should try to see phoenix, but i don't think not seeing it would ruin the movie. it would make more sense though.

I had a hard time with the flow of the movie. It didn't seem very fluid. They also didn't do a good job in the movie of explaining things, like the bezoar. They deviated from the book a bit freely at times too, adding entire parts that were not at all in the book. (christmas burrow scene)

Seems to like they added that Christmas scene because they realized they'd cut most of the action parts out and needed something to thrill it up a little. Pretty crappy movie IMO.
