It always pisses people off when others make fun during a serious situation.... I laughed.

and to answer your question. No, I don't know anybody who lost their life, home, business, friend or loved one in the storm. If I had, I probably still would have laughed

I do know many people who lost their homes, etc in the storm and I still laughed. I will admit I feel a little bad about it, but that was straight up funny.

I don't feel bad for anyone who got hurt/maimed/killed in the storm. They had PLENTY of time to get out. It was their choice to stay.

That's a little harsh. The Chronicle reported on a couple of people who planned to leave Bolivar on Friday morning, but the water came up too fast. I know I was surprised at how quickly Kemah and Seabrook took on water, 16 hours or so ahead of landfall.
