Hacking a registration file

I have some software that was purchased in 2001. I downloaded the registration file and saved it to a floppy. Every time I re-install the software I use the floppy registration file.

The software came with a few trial copies of some extensions to the software, but the trial date has expired. Is there a way to get into the registration file and change the expiration date?

I never used the free trial on the extensions but I would like to look into them now and see if I would/ could use them rather than drop the $2500 before I know. Essentially, I would like to use the trial versions for what they were originally intended for..

have you tried contacting the vendor? If you are seriously looking to spend money on their software and are already a registered user, they would be crazy not to set a new trial for the extensions.

The time stamp for the trial versions is inthe registration file on a floppy, not on my registry. The registration file is read from the floppy once the software is installed, not stored on the machine itself.
