We need to seriously scale back the number of H1-Bs and really scrutinize the H1-Bs that are currently in play. I firmly believe that this is primarily a tool to pay lower wages rather than bring in skills that can't be provided by US citizens. Elon and Vivek are pretty self-serving on this one and I really hope DJT doesn't listen to them.

I'm with you. They should probably freeze the H1B program for a couple of years just to see if that improves wages, employment, etc. There is another program for the truly genius, expert level people, that can still operate.

H1B is so bad that I have seen documentation that Panda Express is using it to bring people to work manual jobs in their stores. Truly evil.

As long as the top 1-2% can get in under whatever "super-genius" program we have, I'm fine with shutting down the importation of hordes of run-of-the-mill engineers and scientists.
