gym near old enfield

Castle Hill Fitness is right there across from The Tavern but it's probably a little more swank than what you're looking for. There also that place at 5th and Lamar, Powerhouse or something. The YMCA on 1st is another option. I can't think of anything west of Mo-Pac.

Sounds like the Y will be it. Castle Hill wants something like 70 bucks a month. That's a bit steep, especially for a guy who just wants a couple benches. Of course, I'll be taking my free day / week / whatever all over.

There's one near 35th and . . . uh . . . you know, just west of Burger King. Probably a bit $$$, not to mention north, of what you're looking for.

35th and Jefferson is the one you're thinking of. Ironsmith. And it's a little over the top for what he's looking for, sounds like.

I do 24 hour by Hancock now. Works well enough. I actually really like the late hours. I've done Hyde Park gym for years and was happy with that, too.

I work out at that 24 Hour Fitness, and like it a lot. Although I live in Hyde Park, so it's right by me. I'd have a harder time motivating myself to come from Enfield.

I think I'd probably use Powerhouse if I lived in your area.

I had a membership at the Powerhouse when I lived in Clarksville. A little pricey - I think it was around 68$ a month, but there was sure some great scenery in there - both employees and customers. However, it was one of those gyms that is a total scene, a lot of people hanging out in the juice bar, dressed up to work out. It has nice equipment though, both machines and free weights.
