Gym floor painter?

My company is looking for someone that can remove an old half-court logo on a gym floor and paint a new one (and do a good job obviously). The gym is in NW Austin, and the job would happen relatively soon, possibly within the next couple of weeks, since the floor is about to get refinished. If you know someone that can do this, please reply or PM me.

I would think you just have the folk refinishing the floor sand it down a little and remove the existing logo.

At least in homes, refinishing wood floors usually means sanding down the top layer, which would also remove the painted logo.

I'm not sure what order the paint/finish would go in. You should start by asking whoever is doing the refinishing.

I'm not in charge of this project. The person in charge just issued a last-ditch effort to get the painting done while the floor is being redone, and I thought I'd ask here.

And it would be my guess that the paint goes on before the floor is finished, but I don't know for sure. I'm just a computer guy.

yes sand the surface, clean the surface of all dust then paint the wood, then apply varnish or poly sealant to protect the paint.

I have not used them , but they were recommended to me and have seen some of their work. It looks very impressive. I am a HS coach and this is who I would use, if it was my choice.
