Prop Joe was right in the sense that at one point, Gustafson was on the JD #2 list. But the one now doesn't list him. He has a pretty good list according to rivals and had interest in Texas. Right now, he doesn't have an offer from Texas. If he has a monster Senior year and Texas still needs one more OL then, I'm sure Jake Oliver might try to get him to reconsider.

Otherwise, wish the kid the best of luck.

here's where i saw it. he got an invite and decided not to attend.

Can't say i blame him for not being sure if he wanted to attend. Kent Perkins and Austin Davis are the only OL recruits that are a lock to come away with an offer. Gustafson wasn't in line for an offer so if he's happy at Aggy, why attend?

The article states that before receiving an invitation to JD2 last week he had never heard from any of the UT coaches. He also indicated that he assumed they were more interested in Perkins. He's right.

May be a good pickup for aggy, but is he SEC-worthy?

Texas has decided to only offer one QB this year. That's why Hill, Barrett, etc. are not attending JD2.

Had not heard UT was only going to offer 1 QB or that Barrett had cancelled his JD2 visit. It is understandable though, if true. McCoy, Ash, Brewer, Overstreet & Swoopes ought to be plenty but you never know as recent history shows. Wit relatively limited scholarships in 2013, 1 QB makes sense especially if it is from one like Swoopes.
