The total lack of morality, as personified by the gangsta lifestyle, pimpin and ho'in, absentee parents, etc is the problem,restricting responsible gun owners is not the solution. Besides , if we are so worried about the loss of life , 20 x more lives are lost due to abortion than gun deaths.

It's obvious both "sides" spin them for their own agendas. But I've seen a lot of outright lies put forth by the Brady crowd over the years.

Agree with pevodog. It's a culture that is out of balance that is the problem, not the guns. Restore balance and many problems would go away. Alcoholism, violence, drugs, etc.

Bad because they weren't born a Blood or a Crip. They were basically recruited. If we could reclaim all youth from gangs, that would be better than them killing each other off.

While I think we would be better off if there werent as many guns out there, I don't see how they could be taken away at this point. The bigger problem is that many gun owner dont take the proper steps to secure their weapons.

When a gun is stolen, the person who was robbed just contributed to the violence by easily allowing their weapon to be taken by a criminal.

I agree. I've got buddies who have arsenals which aren't adequately protected. I'm talking about dozens of guns many worth thousands of dollars. There are about 200 million guns floating around out there. Criminals steal guns; they don't buy 'em from Carter's Guns.

So many people make the deliberate decision to end a human life. The how doesn't bother me. The why really eats away at your faith in humanity.

Anybody who owns firearms has an obligation to make the reasonably inaccessible to children.
However, if a burglar is determined to steal guns, he can easily break into locked closets or those cheap sheet metal cabinets. Gun owners should not be held responsible for the actions of scumbags who break in their homes.
