Gun Problem

My Rossi .357 R972 Magnum locked up on me after 18 rounds today at the range. The cylinder comes out of the frame, but does not rotate at all. I have put less than 50 rounds total through that gun, so it is brand new. Any ideas of what the problem could be? I used plain old Winchester shells, so the load should be fine. Please tell me that the gun is not FUBAR.

I got the cylinder to start moving a little, so I oiled it up, and now it seems fine. I'm still very concerned about the way it froze up on me after 18 rounds. I'll take it with me to McBride's tomorrow and see what they have to say about it.

Has anyone else have this happen before with their revolver?

My dad LOVES his marlin 30 30. But, it's expensive to shoot. I think that he likes the old west aspect to it, the heritage of the lever action.

So, for his birthday, I bought him the sweetest lever action 22 you've ever seen. The WInchester 9422The Link Paid 500 bucks. He loved it.

When I bought it, the gun shop had a special on Winchester brand ammo. Bought him a brick of 500 rounds.

******* gun shoots sweet as **** with any cartridge EXCEPT a Winchester. About every 10th Winchester branded cartridge wouldn't eject.

Any other ammo works great.

Wierd. or Weird.

Interesting. I've also had some jamming problems recently with Winchester rounds with my AR, and so has my friend with his mini-14.

We both changed brands and the problem was gone. Maybe they just aren't good with semi-autos? But then there's Will's thing.
