Guitar Hero 3 for Wii

There seemed to be a number of Hornfans poster who picked this up. I just wanted to pass along that Activision is finally exchanging the disks so you can get one where the audio isn't borked up. You go to their exchange website and fill out the form. They will send you a prepaid envelope- mail in your copy of the game and you'll get one that's fixed.

I sent my game out on February 19 and got the new one back yesterday (that's 17 days). Sucks if you can't play it, but I figured this is a good time to do so with the impending release of Smash Brothers.

Anyone else still play? I haven't seen any of the Hornfans folk on in a while.

I still play it all the time, but I rarely click the online thing because I think you are the only person I've ever put into my friends list.

I probably won't bother with the exchange. I don't care that much that the audio is mono.

I don't think it's as big a deal unless you get a second guitar (which I have). It gets annoying that because of the mono the bass line drops out when the star power kicks in. The new audio fixed that. The mix is a bit different though- I had to turn down the effects quite a bit when I first put the disk in yesterday.

FYI, Red Octane sent me a free faceplate today with a note that said "Thanks for being patient with the mono sound issue." I think they're sending them out to everyone who returned the disk to get the sound fixed.

Took my sweet time getting here, but I've enjoyed every minute
