ESPN bags on Petrino for leaving the Falcons mid-season. When Knight does it, they not only give him a pass but hire him on afterwards. He bolted on college kids, no less.

This is further proof that ESPN crossed the line a long time ago from journalism to fandom.

Knight can be a darling when he wants to. The fact that he is not going to be asked pointed questions after he personally has lost a game will mean he will not explode. Now...if he decides he wants to make a spectacle, he will unleash the "F" bomb...but it will be unpreciptated if that happens.

I agree. He knows more basketball than anyone employed by ESPN could ever hope to. Hopefully he controls himself and brings some good analysis to the broadcasts.
