He appears to be okay with normal body temperature now but testing ongoing to try to figure out what happened. He will miss the Tulsa game along with C Zach Shackelford who rolled his ankle earlier during practice.
Tom Herman: Texas offensive lineman Patrick Hudson was rushed to hospital for heat-related illness | Hookem.com
Hudson... remains in the hospital. The sophomore from Silsbee will miss this week’s game against Tulsa while undergoing further evaluation for the heat-related illness....Herman said center Zach Shackelford suffered a foot injury in Tuesday’s practice and will miss Saturday’s game.

Good thing here is that the staff identified this and got him treated immediately. Guys his size are always going to be susceptible to this, and not having a plan in place is what has gotten some kids killed. Glad to hear he's doing better.

Thanks for sharing this - here's hoping he recovers quickly, they figure out the reason and he returns soon....:hookem:

To make matters worse, Shackelford is out at center (concussion).

I think Saturday's OL starters will be Anderson, Vahe, Rodriguez, Kerstetter, and Cosmi.

I read he was out with an injured foot.

There's a thread on Orangebloods that claims he has a level 2 concussion and is out for multiple weeks. I don't know if it's reliable info or not. Anyway, foot or concussion, he's out at least for this week.

Hmm...SBNation says foot sprain.

I hope they caught this early on and it sure sounds like they did. However going into ICU sounds bad... I wonder what his current condition is. The Maryland player died after two weeks of hospitalization.

This is scary stuff. I hope Patrick makes a full recovery. Our line will soldier on in the meantime, though I’m concerned about Shackleford being out.

Hoping for a full recovery Patrick! Get yourself well.
And I do not know if it's possible but I hope they can get an explanation as to exactly what caused the problem.
