guadalupe sonic closed?

when did the sonic on guadalupe by campus close? that was my go to place for a quick cherry limeade run. it was a weak *** sonic in terms of lacking the traditional look, but convenient nonetheless. is there a sonic any where near campus area now?

That location has always been bad luck. When I was in school it was an Arby's. That was also the first place I had a gun pointed directly at me. It was the two days after Columbine and someone called in to 911 and said there were hostages being held at Arbys. Police busted in and swept the place. Luckily it was a prank call. It was not a funny situation at all.

I noticed that today as well. I was going to go there for lunch - didn't notice that the parking lot was completely empty or that the signs were gone. I finally realized it once I saw that there was nothing inside.

I used to go there all the time when it was Arby's. 5 for $5 is tough to beat when you're a broke college student.

i noticed that the other day and got pissed off... i have no idea when it happened, but i assume over the xmas break. i used to go there pretty often. best of all, no car hops--drive thru only.

and yeah, airport, about 20 yards south of MLK is the closest one. next is burnett and 48th.

funny, i had to look up that 2nd one and noticed that the guadalupe location is still on sonic's own website. wonder what the hell is going on with that property.

the one on riverside closed, too?! wow... is sonic falling on hard times or something? they just opened a location back by my parents place in Forney.

seems like there were too many of em. however, there can never be too many sonics. the one on oltorf is still up and running along with the airport location. they need a sonic in the union that just makes the drinks.
