In my whole life, I've bought guacamole dip maybe three times. Probably only two times. Maybe never, but I feel sure I purchased it at least once.
So this morning on the radio a spokesperson for the avocado industry says that during the Super Bowl, Americans will consume the equivalent of one football field of guacamole dip that would rise to your waist if you waded into it. On the way home I stop at the grocery store and purchase guacamole dip.
Let me just say that I like guacamole. But this is store-bought guacamole dip - it's like the difference between grape drink and grape juice. Plus, the image the avocado industry spokesperson conjured up was hardly appetizing. Yet there is a container of guacamole dip in my refrigerator.
What does it all mean?
