Griffey, Jr just hit #600

Over a 4 year period there weren't many as dominant as he was. i also think the fans of cinci suck for booing him during a period where he wasn't productive. he took less $ to come home and try to revamp that franchise only to get booed after guys like a-rod and so many other FAs prostitute themselves for money.

the guy has always quietly gone about his business like a pro. kudos.

He has and will always be my favorite player. Things didn't always pan out for him physically, but when healthy he is hard to top. I will be in Cooperstown when he gets inducted!!!

i agree madscientist. what's worse if the bonds/griffey roles were reversed bonds would be bitching how he would have hit 800 if he didn't get hurt but you've never heard griffey make a peep about 755 or Bonds pursuit.

this all goes to what you are saying HHD. the guy rocks.

I wonder if Jr. ever regrets demanding the trade to Cinci when he was with Seattle. Safeco Field is still to this day dubbed the "house the Griffey built". He saved baseball in Seattle and for that I'm very grateful. I also hope that he goes into the HOF wearing an M's hat recognizing that Seattle fans supported him unconditionally.

He said once that he feels he owes it to Seattle fans to finish his career as a Mariner. They still love him there, and I for one would love to see him go back.
