Greggo at it again...

This is what addiction does to you. If only others would take it to heart.

The blurb about Choppy on the ESPN 103.3 website says "RJ Choppy of the Michael Irvin Show" instead of his own any more.

In the article, there's a link to another post from a few days earlier. It has some of the statements Greggo apparently made on air, including:

*Made an obscure reference to his affection for submarines when the show's topic was clearly Mavs-Nuggets.

*Blurted out something along the lines of "Capital, I, pinch, pinch, one ... (long pause) ... I mean ..."

Sad and hilarious, all at the same time

I can't remember if it was the same night they mention in the article, but I tuned in near the end of the Choppy and Greggo show one night a few days ago, and thought to myself, "Uh oh...Greggo is on that **** again."

He just sounded weird, and would interrupt the conversation with non-sequitors and off the wall comments. A couple of times it literally sounded like he had been asleep, woke up suddenly, then just said whatever he was thinking...

This is sad. No one who has not had an addiction can understand completely.
I thankfully don't completely understand and it is easy for me to wonder how he or anyone could throw their lives away.

I think he did try to stay clean but the lure must be so powerful.. Maybe this is bottom, maybe

I completely understand your point but I do think we who do not have addictions have no clue how overwhelmingly powerful the pull is.

I don't think Greggo wanted to be a slave to his addiction. I think he probably thought he could control it but like so many others, the addiction won.
WHO would willingly screw up a good life for pills or booze or crack etc?
