I'm really glad that Davis did that for VY. I encounter students that need this same kind of help in my teaching. These students have always been really good ones which is how they get into Medical School. Once they are there though, the adversity and shear amount of kicking your *** anatomy does can really get with them. I try to do the same thing Davis did which is emphasize their positives and let them know that I am there for them and pulling for them. I've had spectacular success with it. I've managed to take several students that would have tailed out of anatomy and probably stopped being doctors and taken them to very strong performances and they have gone out to be very high achievers in their other classes. One of my students had gotten the lowest grade in the class on his first exam. He got the second highest after working with me and ended up with the highest grade in the class. He just needed to know that I believed in him and that he could believe in himself. That's what Vince needs from his coaches and friends. I wish there was someway that I could contact him. I believe that VY could do anything he wants to.
