Greatest collaborations of all time

So queen and Bowie get together and come up with Under Pressure. Timeless to this day. What others are there like this? For the sake of this thread, supergroup collaborations ( traveling wilburies, etc.) are out. I'm thinking more along the lines of a single song, live or in studio.

Not sure if these quite meet your definition of "collaboration" or not, but some of my favorites are:

"Angel from Montgomery," John Prine and Bonnie Raitt

"The Highwayman," The Highwaymen

"Brotherly Love," Keith Whitley and Earl Thomas Conley

"Solitude," Edwin McCain and Darius Rucker

"Money for Nothing," Dire Straits and Sting

Not sure I would call it the greatest but it was sure heralded and beaten to death.

Santana and Rob Thomas

I don't know if it qualifies for "greatness" or not, but "Stop dragging my heart around" was the first tune that came to mind.

Vangelis and Jon Anderson ("Friends of Mr. Cairo")

Geddy Lee with Bob and Doug McKenzie sing "Take Off" on The Great White North.

Speaking of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" and Tom Petty, I was always amazed by the virtuoso in the red hat during the latter part of this tribute to George.

Isn't George's son Dhani the spitting image of him?

Eddie Vedder and Temple of the Dog doing Hunger Strike was pretty good

Allison Kraus and Brad Paisely(sp?) Whiskey Lullaby is one of my favorite duets ever....

Don Heley, Glen Frey, and J.D. Souther singing harmony for Warren Zevon, Randy Newman, Linda Rondstadt, Jackson Browne......

Bowie & Brian Enos' "Heroes".

Collaboration means different things to different people...at least Bowie has put it across that said work was his most satisfying collaboration.

... by far the best conceptualized lyrics pertaining to romantic love there EVER was. My 2cents.

I hate to throw another Bowie on the list but I'm Afraid of Americans with trent Reznor was pretty awesome and very unique.

Another one that is kind of cheating was the Lisa Marie and Elvis duet of In the Ghetto. Kind of cool since he was long gone when his daughter was digitally mastered into the song.
