Great season

I realize that LSU will always be the People's Champion of Omaha - a lot of the locals back them.

But I was captivated by Texas run this year. That was probably the most inspirational run by a #1 national seed that I can remember. The 25 inning game. The 8 run ninth to beat Army. I said after that game that UT had my attention.

And then it was a victory over a tough TCU team in the Super. And then it was Southern Miss. And then it was Arizona State twice.

And forcing a third game with LSU - that's an accomplishment because that's one damn fine baseball team.

I know that Omaha is happy for LSU because after all they are Omaha's People's Champion - and quite frankly I don't have a problem with them winning it ether. Yet, I hope Nebraska fans are taking notes from UT's run this year - and especially in the wake of the abomination that was NU's baseball season because there is a moral to this story.

When you believe, anything is possible.

Nothing to hang your heads about. Great season.

thanks again, HNK--kinda tough pill to swallow, but reminds me of the '89 season--more hype with this team, especially with its pitching, but still not really sure how they could sustain it for the long haul--started the season kind of unlooked at, but still had the tools to get it done, even with our inconsistent problems at the plate--we all know Augie will make the corrections necessary to hopefully get us back at this point again next year!
