Clint Black's playing on "Put Yourself In My Shoes" is hard to beat.

a ton of Blues Bros. songs

But for my money "Midnight Rambler" is as good as any. Mick is very, very good.

and as good as "Thunder Road" is, "The River" is better.

"**** This ****" - Belle and Sebastian.

Yes, I am serious, give it a listen. It's not muddled up by too much other instrumentation or any vocals; and you can really hear the expressiveness of the instrument.

ditto for FTS. I had never heard of Belle and Sebastian before but this is a very good example of how the range of the instrument can be a strength rather than a limitation.

And thanks for the Clint Black; I had forgotten how good a harmonica piece that is; handn't heard it in years.

Lots of Muddy Waters songs belong on this list, including "Mannish Boy" and "Hoochie Coochie Man".

Little Walter, probably the greatest harmonica player ever, is featured on several of his recordings.

Blowin' in the Wind, Tangled up in Blue, Mr. Tamborine Man, by Bob F'n Dylan.
And all the great Willie Nelson songs with Micky Raphael.

Just wanted to make sure you had things accurate...accurate.

I totally agree with your selections, but I would add Delbert McClinton.
