George was talking about the GOP candidates and said "They want to bomb Iran but are afraid of Rush Limbaugh."

Ouch.

Combined with Peggy Noonan's and Scott Brown's remarks about Rush, I'm glad to see that there's still a civil wing of the Republican party left.

Which R has called for the bombing of Iran? I must have missed that. I've seen plenty looking for us to take a stronger posture, but no outright calls for bombs to start flying.

Kind of sad to see George Will taking up the D talking points.

From Mike Murphy, Republican Strategist, "The big myth about Rush Limbaugh is he couldn't deliver a pizza let alone a Republican vote."

And, of course, George Will's critique of Boehner's comment that Rush was inappropriate, " Using a salad fork for your entre is inappropriate..."

Hook'em!!!

I think the way this is supposed to work is that you say all options - including bombing - are on the table. It allows the lesser options to work better. By stating that you do not support military action one is negotiating from a standpoint of weakness - especially when dealing with the type of culture prevalent in the M.E. Therefore, I'd be more upset at those - like Ron Paul - that state they'd be against military action regardless of anything else.

I'm not a fan of Limbaugh but find it comical that his statement has drawn this much attention. You can hear the same kind of vitriol on MSNBC just about every night. Hell, Ed Schultz recently used the exact same word (slut) to describe Laura Ingraham and there was not a peep of faux outrage from the left.
