...our very own, Hornian.

I met him as a young undergrad student chasing skirt. I have known him through almost being an Air Force officer, obtaining long-term skirt and graduation. Then came law school and the constant theme, god love him, of chasing skirt. He's all grows up now as he is about to graduate the University of Texas School of Law. Sumbitch, time flew by.

His grilling skills are only exceeded by his loyalty and consistency as a friend and human being. I respect this man muchly even though he is going to be a laywer. Jokes aside, congratulations. You have earned it, all of it. Best of luck in your future endeavors be they in chasing justice or skirt.

p.s. Thanks again for the VY Rose Bowl ticket. I told you I would never forget this and bring it up at random times the rest of my life.

Who do y'all know that is graduating and deserves props?

My daughter.

She's getting a BBA and a MPA in Accounting after going through Business Honors. Her next stop is Harvard Law.

She's immensely talented and a hard worker. Sometimes it's hard to believe I'm the dad, but I married well, too.

Hornian congrats to you and my son Travis. You all are so talented and I am one proud Dad! But, please teach Travis to BBQ before the 23rd. He's headed for NYC and will need all your BBQ skills there to impress the Yankee ladies... We'll see you all there on the 23rd....

Just wanted to say congrats to my son as well... He's graduating from UT this month with a BS in Computer Science. He's had more than his share of adversity so far, so this is gonna be an extra special time for him. Sorry, couldn't resist being the proud papa

yup coder, this thread is for you and yours as well. Everybody's congrats to everybody they want to give them to! Congrats to all.

l00p...Could you manage to keep all the Mamba's out of the Erwin Center til we get our kids graduated? I'd be eternally grateful!

Thanks loopy, sorry I missed your call today, I was studying for my last final of law school. Ever. In about 12 hours I'll be done. Score!

pulque, I am not a snake expert and even if I were I could not contain the dreaded Graduation Mamba if one showed up.

Hopefully the traffic and lack of parking will affect this snakes tenacity and dissuade it from making an entrance.

For those not in the know of how to determine a Graduation Mamba from any other snake in the Erwin Center or other place of celebration and accomplishment, here you go...

A Graduation Mamba gets its name from specific markings unique to this fierce killing machine. It has black markings atop its head and to the side. The top marking resembles a cap of the graduatin sort and the one on the side vaguely resembles tassles only more at an angle.

As it slithers it looks like it is gazing into the audience or upwards almost like it is looking for a parent or loved ones. The only love it has is a love for killing and ruining peoples days. When it is looking up the only validation it seeks and acquires is the locations of its next victims.

It is a very seasonal snake with a short waking period after long periods of dormant sleep. During this sleep it gains energy, focusness and ferocity you won't find, thankfully, in hardly any other snakes.

I wish all of you venturing out to celebrate the achievement of somebody you know safety and happiness. If you see one of these you should rejoice. Like OU this snake cannot handle success that is earned fairly and without cheating. So legit celebration of academics, something else OU does not have, can drive this snake away to bite somebody just faking it.

Cheers.

I'd like to extend congrats to my friend's daughter who will be graduating this summer from John's Hopkins. She's been like my little sister since she was a little kid and now she's all "growed" up.

Does the graduation mamba increase in deadliness from bachelors, to masters to doctorate? And does it mutate into another form going from the Erwin Center to the Main Building ceremony?

BW, that would be g....oh, I get it. Nevermind.

BBuddy, yes, it gains momentum from place to place but here is the sad news...there is more than one on campus. I don't think the degree level matters to the snake.
