Graduation Ceremonies

I was at a graduation/pinning ceremony last night for a nursing school. There were a couple of students graduating that carried feather dusters with them, or something similar. One of the students parents was dancing around them waving the feather duster around. I think they were from Nigeria but not positive about that. Does anyone know what this is all about? No one there knew what was going on. And congrats to anyone who is graduating this semester!

There was a lot of dust, and they were trying to get rid of it.

Well in this economy, I would think they were getting ready for their new careers in the house cleaning and janitorial services.
