The car is gorgeous as you can see. Coach Mack Brown was kind enough to sign the sun visor (see photo) and when he saw it he said "My goodness, this is quite a car." There are some posters who have seen this car over the years and can tell you that it's pretty cool.

The Longhorn decals on the hood and the trunk are magnetic, meaning they can be removed, as can be the antenna flag and the Longhorn fuzzy dice, of course.

It starts instantly and runs good. All the instruments and gauges work, to include the clock, of which I am especially proud because finding a working clock for a 1966 Karmann Ghia took years of searching. The interior carpeting, headliner, seats etc... are in excellent condition. It leaks a little oil as do just about all old VWs. It has ever since I got it 9 years ago but never enough for me to worry about. It has a brand new clutch and I adjusted the timing and the valves etc... It's really purring right now.

There is one other thing that I am throwing in with the car that will blow you away, but I don't really feel comfortable talking about it publicly. I will in any email, however, if you assure me of your discretion.

I drive it to and from UT football, basketball and baseball games year after year. I also drive it around town a couple of times a month during the off season, just to keep things in working order. Believe me, the reactions it gets, especially around tailgates at games, is really something. But even driving it around Austin I get all kinds of comments, waves, "Hook 'ems!" etc.... I parked it at Whole Foods only to come out and find a gaggle of attractive young women photographing themselves in front of it. That kind of thing.

Many thanks for looking at my remarkable car. If you buy it, you'll know that you're driving a car that is literally one-of-a-kind. There's certainly not another one like it anywhere in the world. Hook 'em!
