Good year for the large dozen

I thought the conference sucked and that we got really overseeded as a conference.

But, we are 8-3 pending Mizzou (who I have losing in my brackets) and 2 of the 3 were us and OSU playing top 5 teams in the country down to the wire at road type venues. Both games could have gone either way as they were tied inside of 2 minutes.

Conference has aquitted itself nicely considering I thought that it sucked **** through a straw coming into the year and I saw little throughout the year to changeg my mind.

Also surprised at the Pac 10's run. I thought that was a really ****** conference this year but they are better than 500 in the tourney, though more or less getting gexposed over the weekend.

Big 12 has had a nice showing in the other tournament though. NU had a gritty effort in the Pit against UNM and Baylor has done well in that tourney also.

As much as I know my friends in Oklahoma (most of them OSU fans) wanted that one, the Cowboys have nothing to be ashamed of. They pushed Pitt right to the very end.

If the Sooners get hot and stay hot from the perimeter, they'll reach the Final Four.

I like Mizzou's chances against Memphis--the Tigers match up as well with the ... err, Tigers ... as anyone in the country.

Kansas' season, however, won't last beyond Friday. The Jayhawks won the Big 12, but only cuz they play in the North and only cuz they caught OU at its worst. In other words, they've lucked out all year and I think that streak ends Friday.

Stat, don't you go highlighting my typos, dammit. I have enough problems keeping up my image as the dumb Okie. Let me have that, atleast.

Halftime of the OU-Syracuse match-up and the Sooners have staked themselves to a 13-point lead, 39-26.

I wouldn't say the Sooners are "lighting it up" from beyond the arc, but they're doing fairly well (4 of 10), especially when compared to Syracuse, which is a woeful 0 for 10.

And, as usual, Griffin is getting his--16 points and six boards at the half.

OUEngineer... after you clubbed me on another thread, I'm still man enough to root for the Sooner Beatdown on 'Cuse that's going on right now.

I'm more than glad for the way Mizu schooled their Hot-Air Opponent, and now OU is doing the same. Talk radio today talked it up big how much experience BoHeim!!! has in preparing for some of the best players in half a century (twice a year even in the Big East).

I'm loving this beat down. I'm all Big 12 when it gets to the Sweet 16.

Probably the best game OU has played all year. When the guards are hot from the outside, we're as good as anyone in the country.

Boomer Sooner.

Well, if you weren't impressed with KU before that game (like me), you should be now. Though the Jayhawks lost, they controlled the game most of the way and managed to break down State's defense like few I've seen. Just too many turnovers, though.

Missing that front-end was an unfortunate way for Sherron Collins to (presumably) end his college career. What a player.

So, the Big 12 is down to a pair, but that's not bad, considering its perceived strength heading into the tournament.

HNK, you say this even though you've seen the bad OU? Tony Crocker made as many threes last night as he's made in a month. Twenty-eight points?? All I can say is Austin Johnson better find his stroke.

Outside of the Big East, was there a better conference this year? This puts into perspective our semi-disappointing season. We played quite a few high seeded teams, even betting a couple. If 0u wins, how many teams can say they beat 2 FF teams?
