Good time to do top dressing on yard?

Last year I did it in early April. Used a stuff from Geo Growers in Dripping Spring called Turf Topper. Got 2 yards of it.

I want to do it again. Should I wait until early April or do it now?

I usually follow the natural gardeners time lines and he says so. I already had the yard aerated and will probably just top dress a little bit as well as fertilize this month. But I noticed I need to adjust my sprinkler heads big time, they have sunk ino the ground

Good deal. It says it is good to do it in March or April. Thinking of doing it next weekend or the weekend after.

I wait until after I have to cut green growing grass once. I don't want to bury it before it starts growing. I am doing it for leveling purposes too so I have to put an inch or so down in some areas.

Some will say that if you do top dressing you don't need to fertilize. If you did not top dress, early April is when I normally fertilize.
