Good Ideas for a 'Guy Trip'

Some buddies and I are in the process of trying to plan something fun to do before we graduate from med school. We're looking into chartering a boat on the carribbean for a week (through the Moorings company) but for right now, the price is a little above our range...we're trying to work it out.

I want suggestions for alternatives, if anyone has them. I am browsing package deals on the internet for "adventure" vacations...

I wouldn't mind doing something that was in an island/beach setting that had jungle/adventure activities thrown in.

I wanted to see what you people have experienced, or any good companies to find deals with, or anything that would help. If it comes down to it we might just go to some beach resort place and booze for a week, but I'd rather find something more fun.

Some questions I'm sure everyone will ask before giving advice:

1. Do you all play golf?
2. Do you scuba dive?
3. Are you looking to chase women?
4. Do you want to gamble?
5. What is your budget?

If you're looking for beach/adventure I've heard Costa Rica is a good place.

Golf isn't a goal.

Beaches, adventure, women (but that's not the priority), water activities, all that sounds good.

Price range would be a week or so for 1500ish or less depending on what it is.

go to Los Suenos in Costa Rica. Rent a condo or better yet one of the houses on the golf course. Spend a few days billfishing, then play golf, do a jungle tour. A quick trip into Jaco each night to pick up a few senoritas from the Beatle Bar for back at the house fun and games. ........At least I've heard this is can be a good trip

If yall are feeling adventurous, do a Lower Canyons river trip in Big Bend. You will never forget it.

That sounds like Costa Rica.

Beaches, casino's, jungle tours, zip lines, etc.

and they have some quality women.
