good game to get scalped?

with the bad weather approaching, and the disappointing season, would this be a good game to show up and pay a scalper? How much would I expect to pay to get say a 10 to 20 yard line?

Where is the best place to try to buy tickets?

Scholtz's. Should not be a problem finding tickets. The holiday and a bad year for Texas should cause quite a bit of availability.

There will be a lot of sellers on the UT side, which normally would--with the holiday and the weather--lead me to say $40 would get you decent tickets easily. I think you could have sat where you wanted for $10 in the recent home games. On the other hand, there will be a lot of buyers on the TAMU side, who show up without tickets, so there will be some upward pressure there. I still think $75 ($100 face value) gets you a pretty good seat on game day. Kind of a nuisance scrounging around, especially if you have a wife with you or whatever.

The game on Thanksgiving is almost always one where you can find tickets, but this year will be even moreso. Families put pressure on their football loving students (and adult) members to attend the turkey dinner, and when the team is down, more people give in to this choice. There will be tickets around.
