Good game Horns...

Well....I felt the whole game that we were hanging by a thread. I knew it was a matter of time before one of your guards got hot. Props to Mason (a below avg 3 pt shooter) for his 4 for 4 night from behind the arc. Capel set up the defense so he would have to beat us....and he did. OU has got to find more offense from someone other than Griffin, especially with Longar out. Oh well....

Good luck till we see you again.

that was a good game.

we needed that.

where were all of your fans?

I know that is hypocritical as hell coming from a Horn fan, but still.....

Mason changed his shot for the better, finally found his stroke.

I enjoy watching both Griffins play. They play hard and quiet(i.e. no trash). I wonder about their ability to lead though. Blake has to learn to pass better though I don't recall him passing so poorly earlier this year.

I kinda wondered how some folks thought Blake G was first rounder earlier this year, but after watching him against the ags and us, I'm now a believer. Sooners played good D but just got uber cold. Good game. I just don't enjoy watdching Capel.

If Mason finally gets on track, we could be dangerous. I've been cheering for that kiddo to have some confidence in his shot and take 'em since we've played a bunch of squads that gave him little respect.

This tough stretch will need him stepping up and I'm looking forward to KU.

Before the Baylor game the last time Mason stepped and had a good game was against UCLA. I don't think it is a coincidence that we sucked *** between UCLA and the last couple of games. If he can find a way to continue to be remotely productive on the offensive end (even if it is driving to the basket or getting offensive rebounds) we can be a very dangerous team.

started out slow again, opponent drained 3's again to start the game..... but we picked it up and got a big road win. we still have a lot of work to do before tournament time, but overall im pleased

Blake Griffin a first rounder?

Really?

No slight against the guy, I like watching him play. He just doesn't seem like that elite of a player.

Just finished watching the game...My Unsung Hero of the Game Award: Justin Mason for his outstanding shooting and PG play in the 2nd half.

And Coach of the Game Award: Rick Barnes for putting Justin Mason at PG and allowing D.J.Augustine to roam along the baseline.

OUTFUCKINGSTANDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hook'em!!!

I didn't realize he's 6'10". I suppose that does change my opinion of him a bit.

Regarding the game -- our slow starts are getting old. I seriously doubt we'd be able to dig ourselves out of that kind of hole against a team like Kansas. I'm not very optimistic about our chances with them or KSU (or maybe even A&M) anyway.

Well, that's what he's listed as. He looks a legitimate 6'9 to me, so he's somewhere in that neighborhood.

I'm still stubbornly insisting Texas can beat KSU, and in Austin, I think they can take A&M, although I am impressed with the Aggies resurgence after their 5 overtime loss to Baylor. They've been on a mission. They absolutely took it to Iowa State on Tuesday on the road. As Texas is about to find out --- again --- your team should be pleased any time it can come out of there with a win, never mind the double digit pasting A&M put over the Cyclones.

They are being consistent with the slow starts. It wasn't A&M bad, but it was still bad.

I think Michael Beasley and Bill Walker stand a good chance of abusing us. Damion James & Gary Johnson (among others) are going to have to show up in a big way. I haven't watched enough of KSU to have a good feel for how they'll deal with our guards, though, so maybe it will be a push. Anyone?

I think this game was won with defense especially when GJ and Mason were in the game. Both of those guys really pick us up on D and it usually translates to offense.
RE: Beasley and Walker... I don't really think anyone in college can guard Beasley at the moment but Walker should be neutralized or at least slowed by our depth of big men since Johnson seems to be getting in better and better position. I am just hoping James and Mason can keep Beasley from scoring over 25 (if we put James and Mason on him, not too sure)

Range? As in his shot? I'm sorry, but from what I've seen, he doesn't seem comfortable shooting the ball outside of 5 feet. And maybe it was just last night, but he threw some horrible passes also.

With that said, I do think he is a 1st round pick based on potential....he just has plenty to work on.

I doubt Griffin is more than 6'8, and he doesn't have the athleticism to be a 3.

that being said, I could see him becoming a Carlos Boozer/ Zach Randolph type of player. He was a much better player than I expected, even if I'm not entirely sold on his pro prospects.
