I need lessons. I have had them in the past and just 2 lessons (from a really good coach who I can't locate) made a huge difference. I say that because I'm told I have the tools of a good swing, just need a few adjustments. I shoot mid/high 90s, so just a little improvement could get me into the 80s. I'm awful off the tee, much better with irons off the tee. Get me within 160 yds of the pin (to my 7 iron or so) and I can play pretty decent.

Help me.

Josh Palmer is currently teaching @ Golfsmith. He is very good at explaining things so you are able to feel your body doing it both incorrectly and correctly which to me is very important. Call their main number and ask for him or call 970-6876.

Trust me, he will take care of you. Let him know Robert sent you over.

Yes, it is expensive and yes, you will probably have to use vacation time to participate, but this yields fantastic results.

I've never spent the entire three days at the Academy, but I do take periodic lessons from one of the instructors that I've known for years. Every tip he's given me is always on the mark and the practice drills improve consistency. However, I have known several people who have done the entire program and their game immediately improved. A 30 handicapper immediately went to a 14 and a 10 handicapper went down to a 4. It was truly unbelievable and I wouldn't have believed it unless I actually played a couple of rounds with them.

I think they may have lesson specials for less than the actual price of the program so you may want to check that out.

Besides this, I hear Circle C has decent teaching pros on a lesson by lesson basis.

I'll give a thumbs up to what Lib said. I took some private lessons from Randy Dalton at the Academy. Great lessons and they are honest.

After a lesson I would ask Randy should I come back in a few weeks and he would always reply to just work on what we went over and after six months or so you feel you need me give me a call.

They do not string you into a endless cycle of un-necessary lessons to try and make an extra buck off of you.

Great guys.
