Going to Paris this Fall

Going to Paris in mid September for a few days then down to the Burgandy wine region for a few more. Any suggestions for Paris accomodations (mid $$$) and things to do/see in wine region.

I was only there for one night on a layover once, but I did manage to take the metro over to the Champs Elyses (sp?) and have dinner at a streetside cafe with a view of the Arc de Triumph. I enjoyed that. Oh and I had to pop into a McDonalds just to see the menu entry "Royal with Cheese"

Rent an apartment. Much cheaper w/ more room.
