If your plans call for FLL and you can afford it, I highly recommend the Westin Diplomat Hotel & Resort, a beautiful hotel with all the good stuff: beach, pools, a great steakouse, wonderful bars, an unbelievably service-oriented staff. I was very impressed.
Last week, the Westin hosted the annual Hooters convention, complete with Hooters girls, the calendar contest, photo shoots, early workouts in the gym, etc. And drool.
When Hooters left, the Miss Florida Universe pageant moved in. A bit classier, and somewhat more refined.
On Saturday afternoon, Shaq was best man at someone's wedding on the patio by the beach.
