Sad when the best opponent for the entire weekend is freakin Houston, with Cincinnati a close second. Way to go Big 12, nice exciting football there. The nations eyes will definitely be on the Big 12 this week....

It's kind of funny when Texas/UTEP is the marquis game, considering what happened to them last week.

I think La Tech can score on KU. Has potential.

And we'll see if Chizik can step it up this year.

The BIG 12 needs to go 12-0. there is not excuse for us not to. i know a lot of UT fans cheered when Agges lost to Ark st. but that is not a good thing for our conference. We need to beat non-conf opponents. i definitely hope aggies kick the "u"'s *** when they play.
we need to get to where the sec is. we are very close right now.

I think the Big 12 can be a strong and formidable conference without aggy success. With Texas and OU as established contenders, and the recent rise of Missouri and Kansas, and maybe Nebraska and Colorado returning to competitive ways, the conference is fine. Aggy suckage does not upset the balance.

While it won't be good for the Big XII, or a little matchup in early October, BlowU loses this week against Cin... It'll take a lot of the luster from Texas/OU, but it'll be damn fun to watch.

Man Big 12 is going to roll. Plus the top 5 who are all ranked in top 15 will continue to rise in the polls and that brings up the question....Which of those 5 will be the first to lose?

Kansas plays South Florida in week 3. That will be a good game. Other games are Louisianna St. in week 2 and Sam Houston st. in week 4. They could be undefeated going into Iowa St. on Oct 4 and I think they will win that one. Co on 10/11 and then OU will be tougher games.

Mizz plays SE Mizz St., Nevada, and then Buffalo. Could easily go 4-0 before Nebraska on 10/4. Texas on 10/18. Mizz is being picked to win the Big 12 so hard to predict their week of loss but definitely should go 4-0 and be representing the Big 12 well into October.

OU has Cincy, Washington, TCU, and Baylor. Should be 6-0 when they play UT on 10/11.

Tech plays Nevada, Southern Methodist, and Mass. before playing K-state on 10/4. Thus could be 4-0 in October.

Texas plays UTEP, Arky, Rice, before rolling into Boulder 4-0. Win that and they play OU with both teams likely undefeated on 10/11. UT then plays a likely undefeated Mizz on 10/18.

Good chance these teams go undefeated into weekend of 10/4 and keep rising in the polls in the meantime. Thus when they start killing themselves they won't fall as far. These games will help the SOS in the conference tremendously. Should be good year for Big 12.

What crap!

aggy is irrelevant.

If Texas had lost to Arkansas State, the Eastern Sports Promotional Network had been ALL OVER IT! As it was with aggy.. it was not even mentioned.

Except when aggy cheated, they have been irrelevant on the national scale..and will stay that way. As long as the measuring stick for their athletic success is two letters high, "UT" no one nationally will take them seriously.

Let them wallow in mediocrity at best.

Aggy is irrelevant because Aggy is Aggy.

You have a university system that is run, I **** you not, by "Alamo" Mike McKinney. Yes, THE "Alamo" Mike McKinney. It should be no surprise that this genius rubber-stamped the 7 year contract awarded to his kid's college and NFL position coach. It's the good ole boy system. Just turns out, there's no good ole boys who know **** about football at Texas A&M.

Does Nevada still score quick and in bunches? The Pack of Wolves or whatever they are were that type of team a couple of years ago if I remember right.

Besides, they all wear not Wolf Shirts but Wolf Helmets. That has to help somehow.

But were they when they were scheduled? Sometimes teams that are bottom feeders or .500 teams at best are scheduled then improve.

I am not saying OU would not have scheduled them regardless of where they were ranked, just that some of these schedules are made up to or greater than 5 years in advance. Teams and sometimes coaching staffs are very different when the game actually gets played.
