Going to Aspen Next Week....

I'm headed there in less than 3 weeks and have been told not to miss Hickory House Ribs by a Texan who has been there several times. Other than that, most of the food sounds good and pricey. Another tip I got was that most restaurants have an adjacent bar area where you can get the same menu as the dining room at lower prices. Apparently an Aspen tradition.

For a comprehensive list of Aspen restaurants with reviews you may want to check out Trip Advisor. If they get a significant number of reviews they tend to be fairly accurate in my experience.

Look for these guys, they know how to party...

Olives in the St Regis hotel is very good. I hope you are staying at the Jerome its a classy place.

my dad lives in Starwood so here are some good tips;
Campo di Fiori and Cache Cache are considered two of the best. Of course the Caribou club is still tops but unless you are a member or have some clout- not getting in.

Ajax Tavern in the Little Nell hotel is also really good and has awesome french fries- expensive but awesome- they cook them in Truffle oil and have shaved truffles on top when served.

The original Kenishi is also there in Aspen and better than the one here in Austin.

Little Annies is good, not great.

The Tippler and Erics are cool bars; unfortunately the Red Onion closed down last year.

Enjoy and be sure to hit Marron Bells this time of year, they are really nice.

RunTex,

My company actually sent me to the Caribou Club for dinner. The bison steak was f'n amazing. Great experience.

The sushi at Kenishi was awesome and the entire atmosphere was very cool.

I did the hike to Maroon Belles and it was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. So peaceful and a fantastic experience.
