The chocolate biscoti things rule.

I got a 1900 x 1200 computer monitor for $300 ($450-$500 is a common price range). I had to return the first two due to bad pixels. So in order to save the Earth from Global Warming among other more important reasons, the one armed dude and I opened boxes in the store until we got a good monitor.

Why not buy your beer at the local store and save even more money on the monitor/TV at Newegg? Your wallet comes out even and you support the little guy in the process.

costco's pizza is REALLY good. you can get a huge sampler for $12 or something like that. it feeds me and my wife for 2 meals.

My wife loves Starbucks frappucinos in the bottle... 12 pack at Costco is $12.00... they're "on sale" for $5.99 for a 4 pack at my local grocery store. Buy 8, get 4 free... nice! Baby formula is definitely a lot cheaper there, too.

The usual haul at Costco includes: ruta maya coffee, beer, tequila, snacks, pizza, meats, books. All the above very cheap and plentiful.

I call Costco "The Hundred Dollar Store", because everytime I go in there, I spend at least $100. Mind you, I get a LOT for that $100. But I can't seem to get out of there for less than a Benjamin.

I shop at the flagship store myself. I live about 15 minutes south of Issaquah.

Regarding their treatment of their employees--the corporate philosophy has been that people need to be paid a living wage. There was an article in the local paper a few years ago about how cashiers who'd been working there for 4.5 years made an average of $40K a year. (I think this was in the Washington-state stores, but I could be mistaken.)

If the stockholders complain about the low prices or the relatively high salaries keeping profits down, the CEO tells them, "Then go find another company to invest in."

I loves me some Costco...
