Just a couple of days ago I was channel surfing and came across an episode of Matlock. It made me wonder if Andy was still around, so I googled him and discovered he was still among us. And now he's gone.

One of my earliest memories is listening to this. My brother had the record.

TA that is a classic record we listened to also... my brother and I still use a single punch line from that recording. "Buddy, have a drink.... Believe I will have another Big Orange!"

Another favorite line my bro and I liked from the Andy Griffith show was: Gomer: "Andy, Goober says Hey" - Andy: "Hey to Goober".

Andy Griffith has left us.

Was he ever a great one.

A Face in the Crowd is one of the darkest, most unsettling takes on hick caginess and human predatory tendencies that I know of. Awesome, and Griffith is amazing in that role.

AGS needs no real additional comments. One of the all-time great shows. No doubt about that A Tall.
