Go Get 'Em Riley ...

Riley Boening making his 1st start today since June of 2006.

This is huge.

No offense, and I may be in the minority here ... but I'd love to see Riley be able to join Green and Kasparek as a weekend starter, allowing Austin Wood to go back to the pen.

I think Austin can do more good for us as a long reliever like Krebs from last year.

unless KK can start getting his pitches down, he should be hitting the pen. he got lucky in his first start(being against ut pan am),but all of his mistakes vs. rice were up in the zone. of course his defense didn't help him much, but come conference time he'll need to be down in the zone to be effective. if he had another 5mph on his fastball, then he could live upstairs and get away with it.

you are correct, my bad. he just scares me a little against better hitting teams. most of his k's against rice, he got ahead of the hitters and then made rice swing at his pithes. now granted i guess most pitchers would be dominant using that theory, but i think you know what im trying to get at. anyway, go horns.
