gnats

so i get back to austin last night after my two week summer in dallas, and i guess one of my roommates, or even myself, left a piece of fruit or something in the garbage disposal cause i used the kitchen sink and ten or so gnats flew up out of it. i guess they could be fruit flies, but they're very small and i assume they're gnats.

anyhow, i can kill these when they land, but it's time consuming cause they're so damned small, but my main concern is that they might've laid eggs (or whatever it is they do) in the sink or somewhere and will be back constantly... is there any spray or bomb or anything i can use in my kitchen to kill the ********?

Get yourself a can of outdoor fogger, make sure the active ingredient is permethrin.
Not resmethrim, or carbyl ( also known as Sevin..kills neurons in humanoids) just find the label that says permethrin or pyrethrium.
Blast the house, then take off to the bar for an hour or so to let the fumes clear.
If you have a cat, leave him in the room, bug spray is good for them.
Just kidding.... don't go overboard on the spraying if you have pets in the house. Put them in the bathroom and put a wet towel under the door.
You'll have blasted the adults, and left a nice residue for the hatching eggs.
Oh, and don't lick salt off of the kitchen counter when you're doing tequila shots.

Not if you specifically use the permethrin or pyrethrium.
I use the "kitchen" spray for scorpions.
It leaves a residue, and is still synthetic in nature,but won't kill you. Unless you drink a shitload of it.
Just be sure to put all your dishes up.
It wouldn't be as toxic as carbyl or resmethrin, or whatever other nasty **** that Raid makes.
I only use those 2 products for pest control.
I used to have a commercial applicator's license, if that makes you feel better...

If you put all your fruit in the fridge, or seal it up they should all die in less than a week.
