Remember when the Eagles started out. Don Henley left little Linden, Texas, a northeast Texas town not far from me.

He went to California and met up with Glen Frey, they were playing with Linda Ronstadt. They asked out of her band and the Eagles began.

Saw them several times, the first time at the Drum in 1977, my first year as a student at Texas.

Loved their music, the group will be missed. Henley had recently done an album called "Cass County," the county that Linden is in. It's the next county over from my county of Bowie.

Been playing Eagles songs all week. I was fortunate that I saw them three times after they got back together, and now I wish I'd gone one more time!
