glare delay

I understand that this is a relatively regular deal at Reckling? I had never heard of it. sort of begs the question...why not play the game before glare becomes an issue or just wait to start it until after the sun goes down?

also, thought it was ******** that our hitters had to deal with it in the top of the 2nd and then the game was suspended in the middle of the frame. was that just Graham knowing when to request that play be temporarily suspended?

Glare from what? The sun reflecting off of buildings? The sun itself?

Either way, apparently those Rice boys aren't as smart as advertised.

my point exactly, PG.

yeah...glare from the Hilton Hotel.

FWIW, I stood directly behind home plate during the delay and the glare was pretty gnarly.

First I read that Rice played the mess or errors we had against the last meeting then to allow Texas a visitor to play w/glare but THEY get to have a delay. that's just not right. surprised the umps allowed that.

Rice still lost.

the glare delay is a regular thing at Reckling. It only lasts for about 15 minutes, and then play resumes. It's a good time to go to the beer garden.

Sounds like a chicken **** move to me. They should start the game later. Oh well, the little gimmick did not benefit the Night Birds.
