some idiot has their fax machine set to call my phone, and it calls back every 5 minutes or so, and has been for the last hour. how do i stop this ************. i don't have caller id, so i can't call him up and tell him he needs to take lessons on how to dial or that possibly his fingers are just to damned fat. there is probably some simple way, but hey, i just woke up.

Forward your phone to a fax machine somewhere. The fax will go through and he'll quit trying to send it. Problem solved.
CID has just gotten to be a big rip off in my opinion. I got rid of my home phone entirely because I was tired of everything going up $1 every two or three months. CID was something like $9/month and call waiting was $4/month when I finally just got rid of it. I might eventually try the voice over IP thing, but for now, if I am going to have another $30-$40 bill, I might as well be getting a second cell phone.
